This is an update on my project 10 pan...
I've completed some of the products and still working with others..
the Mascara i've decided to throw out since i've used it more than 6 months and it seems to be getting dry.. the avon luxury liner in dark brown still is going.. i swear that thing will never finish.. that and my nyx lipliner. the udpp is still going but the smashbox face primer and the victorias secret fx photofinish primer i had to lay to rest.. i was so sad, i'm using my Rimmel Fix and perfect right now but i really miss my VS and Smashbox face primer. I have also used out my elf pressed powder and i've started using another product in its place (and no i didn't buy anything i'm using something i already had..) the elf bronzing powder is still going but the dark brown (bottom right) has broken off and is all smashed up.. but i'm still using it :) love this stuff. my sacha fix-it.... i'm not sure if i'm going to finish it.. i feel like its alcohol in a bottle. i need to do another review on it. i f ind that this product is making my face extra oily... well someone told me this.. and i haven't checked it out fully.. i will experiment this week on this and if its true, in the garbage it will go..
Rather than buying new items.. :) i'm thinking of adding new ones and keep things going.. :) i'm so holding off on buying things right now... and a fellow blogger Rhea .. reminded me about Wonderful World's semi annual sale which starts tomorrow.. and i'm thinking of going.. she's such an enabler... :)
so later this week i will post the replacements to the project 10 pan :) i feel so great when i finish products and of course i feel even better when i get new items :) lol...

Review: Neutral Starry Palette
So this is my review on the neutral Starry palette. Please note that this is in my opinion.. no one asked or coerced me into saying anything in this review
Cost - $7.95TTD
Purchased - Pennywise, Trinidad and Tobago
Shadows in Palette - 6 different shades
Pros:
The consistency of these shadows are amazing. They are soft and silky and very pigmented. You do not need to pack on plenty of color as the shadows are truly pigmented. They blend well and are not chalky. They do leave a little fall out if you swatch your brush too many times in the shadow, so less is better. The swatches below were done with one swatch of product....
The packaging is great, its small and portable very easy to travel with not clumsy at all. I took this on vacation with me and it fit really great in my makeup bag. The packaging is black in color and is not tacky at all. It comes with a small mirror that can be used.
Overall for the price, this palette is top notch. Would definitely recommend this palette to anyone. Its perfect to give as a gift, because its reasonable, but its not cheap.
The staying power is relatively good, but its great when you use a primer or a base. One day i had it on for almost 15 hours and it did not crease but it did fade a bit.
Cons: The mirror that came with this palette is rather small, i have used it before and it works pretty good though.
This is truly a great product I just wish that Starry had more palettes with a larger variety of colors.

i'm finally blogging again...August Favorites..
So today is a holiday and i'm finally getting to do things i've put on hold.. like for example, my August favorites.. i've not had the time to post those and we're to the end of September. So what were my August favorites...
- My Sacha palette: this is their neutral palette, now i really do not like sacha products, but somehow this palette has grown on me.. at first i had a hard time picking up any shadow on my brush/brushes, so i had to take a tissue and wipe over each shadow..after this i was able to use the palette, this is my substitute for the 28 neutral palette. I will do a review on this palette as all of the colors have different consistency.
- my second favorite is the Starry neutral palette... omg i absolutely love this thing... i took it with me for my 10 day vacation and used this palette almost everytime i went out... "and its part of my september favs too :)" i've done swatches of this palette and will do a review after i'm finished here..
- Mac mineralized skinfinish in Light Flush i absolutely love this thing... gives my face a nice healthy glow..
- loreal hip jelly balm i have had this a while and used to love using it.. i did an inventory at the beginning of August and i found it i've started using it again and i'm in love with it..
- Mac tinted lip conditioner spf 15 in popster from the hello kitty line.. omg i love this it give my lip just a tint of color... really gorgeous...
- Urban Decay shadow in Half Baked i love this as a lid color or highlighter its such a beautiful color...
- Maybelline mineral power blush in True Peach i love how this gives me a light flushed look.. nothing too bold...
- and lastly, Revlon colorstay combination/oily skin in 360 golden caramel ... my skin tone keep changing.. :( so this shade is working for me now....

Stay tuned...
So many updates to give, but check in again.. will post my August favorites tonight, and some of the reviews will be posted before the end of this week....

Haul: Target and CVS items
I bought some items in Target and CVS, haven't used them as yet, but wanted to post the haul and ask you guys about the products. They are new to me and I bought them to try them out. I'm looking for a nice face wash to go along with a wash i'm currently using [I will post the brand and type later]. I'm so into nail polishes right now, so when I was at CVS i saw the brand Confetti, never saw/heard about them before, and thought i'll try them out. So i bought two fall shades to try out.
Here's what I got:
Here's what I got:
- Up & Up facial astringent acne medication sensitive skin [very anxious to try this]
- Up & Up maximum strength acne medication benzoyl peroxide gel [tried this last night] will do a review in a few days
- Clean and Clear Morning Burst Detoxifying Facial Cleanser
- Neutrogena Body Clear body wash [bought this for my niece she's 11yrs old and her upper body is breaking out bad]
- Sally Hansen Moist and Matte liquid lip color in Velvet [never saw this before in my life, but was curious as to it being liquid and still giving that matte look. its a great fall color too.
- Confetti nail polishes in 055 Dressed to the 9's and 041 Masquerade Ball [looking at them from the bottle the consistency look a bit on the thin side, which means that the color is buildable. not sure if i would like that or not.. gotta try it and let you know

So I've decided to start another Project 10 Pan
The pressed powder had hit pan for about two weeks now, and the bronzer for about a month now. Hopefully by the end of the month they will finish. I think I will have self control in not buying anything. I will however, need to replace my pressed powder and my bronzer when they are finished, so I will definitely report on them.

Haul: Makeup Palettes
So after watching Aesthetic Glory and another makeup guru, whose name i can't remember now, I decided to venture out to Pennywise to get a few inexpensive palettes. The brands: Arista and Starry.
I bought palettes a few years back from Starry and Arista, but threw them out last year for fear they had gotten old. These brand actually is extremely good. The Starry shadows are very pigmented and the staying power is great with a primer. I will do a review on this palette another time.
The Starry Palette cost around $8.99 and there are three available at Pennywise. The Arista palette cost $19.99. For those of you who don't know, Arista is made from the same company as Sacha, its just considered a lower end product. The palette i choose I absolutely love the colors.

The pictures I took out of the Starry palettes did not come out too well, they do not do justice to the colors
I will do swatches and a review on each palette after I have tried them out a few times. I am about to venture on a project 10 pan, so I will try as much as possible to abstain from purchasing :). I still have to post some other haul pictures from my last trip to the US.

I'm Back!!!!!
I am really back this time. Work and school has kept me busy but things have settled down a bit and I can start blogging again. Over the weekend I was in Boston, and at the Boston Logan Airport, American Airlines terminal, the DutyFree store had Urban Decay for 50% off. They are discontinuing their sales of UD and so they were selling off their stock. I got a few things, all the palettes were gone, their liners had like three colors, they had tonnes of shadows which at this time I regret not buying... after I made my purchase I kept saying I would go back, but then I ran late with my flight :( so I did not get to go back. I will post that haul for you soon. I also went to a CCO and bought a Clinique foundation, I have never used their foundation before. I also got some stuff at Sally's and they were like 50% off, and lastly, I got some stuff from ELF. I haven't really bought anything all year, and i've pretty much finished most of the items I had on my project 10 pan, and even finished other items too, so I thought why not splurge a bit. So look out for a haul, I plan on doing a few reviews, and then I'll post some looks....So stay tuned....

I'm Back!!!
So again i was gone... and again I'm so sorrrryyyyy... Took a trip to New York came back sick when I thought i was recovering, I got sick again.. but great news I've decided to eat healthier, exercise and rest more :) So while i was missing in action I made a few changes on things... I added more things to my project 10 pan, started exercising, started eating more fruits and veggies, started drinking lots and lots more [note i said more :)] water, and well the results.. .. ahhh.. well I think its way too soon to conclude..
So recently I've tried to be conscious of my weight. I am currently gaining!! I am also looking at living a healthy lifestyle, which includes a combination of things that seem to me to be what can help me become healthy. They include: eating the right foods at the right time :) [this is so important I thought it was only about eating the right foods.. but then there are certain things you just dont eat in the night and they are healthy... so its all about timing too], doing appropriate exercises [i thought exercise was exercise... but of course I have target areas I want to lose weight.. :)], getting enough rest per day [way too hard for me but trying.. even if its some cat naps..], thinking positive [oh this goes a long way... thinking healthy thoughts, smiling--as much as I can.. helps with those wrinkles .. lol, reading healthy things], working [yes its important to work ... how can one rest if one does not work.. well in my opinion], play and laugh [its always important to have good laughes during the day .. its healthy come on dont you enjoy a good laugh :) and yes playing is good.. its music for your
childish soul :) ], reading, and for me spending time with those who mean the most to me [God is included here]
In reading the October 2009 issue of women's health i found some really fascinating information that I thought I'll share with you. First off for those of you who love to drink RedBull energy drink you need to monitor your intake. It is said that research shows that one a day is not harmful but more than once a day can cause a number of complications such as elevated blood pressue, insomnia, stomach irritation and overloading can lead to heart palpitations and seizures. When drinking these energy drinks one also has to be careful as to how much of other caffeinated drinks one intakes. Another interesting fact I came across was why women have intense cravings for sweets on days just before their periods. this is
because when the estrogen level drops there is an increase in mood swings. sweets goodies then to give us that boost of "happy feelings". It is recommended though that when taking these sweet treats that you increase fiber in your diet. estrogen attaches itself to fiber the magazine quoted and when it does so it [estrogen] exits the body as waste, so the more you eat the lower your overall hormone levels.
Well food for thought right! Let me know what you guys think.. or are thinking...
